Cyber AB
Also known as: Cyber Accreditation Body · Cyber-AB
The Cyber AB (formerly the CMMC Accreditation Body) is the non-profit accreditation body that authorizes C3PAOs, certifies assessors, and runs the official CMMC Marketplace.
The Cyber Accreditation Body, commonly known as the Cyber AB, is the official accreditation body for the CMMC ecosystem. It is a non-profit organization that operates under an agreement with the Department of Defense to authorize Certified Third-Party Assessment Organizations (C3PAOs), certify individual CMMC assessors and practitioners, and maintain the CMMC Marketplace where contractors find authorized providers.
The Cyber AB also runs the credentialing programs for individual practitioners: Registered Practitioner (RP), Registered Practitioner Advanced (RPA), Certified CMMC Professional (CCP), and Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA). Practitioner Organizations are similarly credentialed as Registered Practitioner Organizations (RPO).
If you are evaluating a CMMC consultant, an assessor, or a tool, the Cyber AB Marketplace is the authoritative directory for verifying credentials.
