DFARS 252.204-7019
Also known as: 7019
The DFARS clause requiring contractors to post a current NIST SP 800-171 self-assessment score in SPRS before contract award.
DFARS 252.204-7019, 'Notice of NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Requirements,' is the contract clause that requires defense contractors to have a current NIST SP 800-171 assessment score posted in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) before they are eligible for contract award.
The assessment must be conducted using the DoD Assessment Methodology and posted no more than three years prior to award. The score is calculated by starting at 110 and deducting 1, 3, or 5 points for each security requirement that is not fully implemented.
DFARS 252.204-7019 is the disclosure clause; DFARS 252.204-7020 is the operational clause that gives DoD the right to verify the score.
